My Ethics

  • It is my priority to create a space that is founded on safety, trust, authenticity and respect. My services are for all backgrounds and walks of life. Cultural relevance is and curiosity is something that I will hold myself to a responsibility of in practice and education.​

  • I represent myself with authenticity, honesty and use the education and experience within the clinical context of providing individual counseling to others. This will also include intuitive tools such the tarot, mediumship, and other spiritual/magical practices.​

  • Confidentiality will be upheld in each session. I agree that I will not disclose any information without your written consent with the exception that you are an immediate danger to yourself or others, or that there is a vulnerable population (such as a minor) that is in danger. I will notify you immediately should I feel that I need to make any reports to proper authorities, such as Child Protective Services, or that I think you are in need of immediate medical attention.​

  • I believe in personal autonomy or responsibility. Any services I offer serve for the intent as information, education, or personal development purposes only and are not to be used as medical, legal, or financial advice. By Booking a session with me as a client, you are in agreement that these services are not for the purpose of medical advice, legal advice, or financial advice and shall not be relied upon by you in that regard. The services I offer are not a substitute for a medical doctor, financial advisor, accountant, attorney or any other professional that you should consult.

  • I will respect my clients’ right to refuse or terminate their services with me at any time.

  • In use of tarot services, I will respect the right when the client would not like to know more about what it is that I have to say.

  • I will continue to educate myself on the latest ethics and practices under the umbrella of the American Counseling Association and use discernment when it comes to using integrative and intuitive practices in the therapeutic space.

  • I will encourage personal responsibility and autonomy with clients in that they are responsible for the happenings in their life, tarot and other spiritual and alternative practices are used for the purpose to complement to an individual's life and are not a replacement for the work that is important for healing.

  • In order to maintain a professional relationship, our contact will remain in the context of Therapist and Client only. Please note that sexual intimacy is never appropriate and should be reported DORA Colorado. If you have questions about dual relationships, please feel free to address this in session.

  • Each client must complete an informed consent form prior to their initial session with me.

 

My Boundaries

  • If you violate any of my boundaries, I reserve the right to end your services and still retain your investment. You may also be barred from receiving services from me in the future. 

  • Each client will be provided an informed consent that they are to sign prior to our first session, by signing this document, you are agreeing to AAC&C Terms.

  • I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Clients will be charged a fee if changes are not made to their appointment prior to this time window. The cancelation fee will be discussed at time of onboarding care and may differ from any copay collected.

  • I reserve the right to terminate services after two late cancellations or no-shows.

  • I consider an appointment missed after the 15th minute unless agreed upon by client and myself prior to scheduled appointment. I reserve the right to retain investment made in adherence to the cancellation policy. 

  • In the event that I need to cancel your appointment, you will be provided an option of rescheduling. Clients will not be charged for sessions that I cancel. 

  • There must be complete privacy in session. No other parties may enter session unless previously agreed upon by myself and client. 

  • I am not available for crisis situations or outside office hours. Please give me 24-48 hours to respond to messages during scheduled work hours.

  • I will not conduct a regular service with a client that comes to session inebriated or under the influence of substances. I will work with you to do what I can to make sure you are safe. However, work cannot be done when clients are in this space. If this should occur, I will adhere to the cancellation policy and reserve the right to retain a cancellation fee.
